2. After opening the damper fully, start the fire.

3. Damper should be adjusted till the fire is properly lit. Let it stay for some time.

4. By periodic adjustment of the damper, wait till the fire is glowing brightly. If more air is needed, adjust by opening the damper. You should open the damper if you feel the flow of the fire is outwards .Damper should be closed if you feel too hot. By closing the damper, you can put off the fire.
